An Interactive and High-Energy Balloon Show That Engages Families and Patrons of All Ages
Markham, IL – 06/14/25 – Markham Public Library invites families to an unforgettable afternoon of laughter, creativity, and balloon-filled excitement with The Art of Inflation on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 12:30 PM. The event will occur at 16640 S. Kedzie Ave., POB 38, Markham, IL 60428.
Designed for all ages—from preschoolers to seniors—this 45-minute interactive performance combines comedy, audience participation, and incredible balloon artistry into one high-energy, family-friendly event. Patrons will witness giant balloon sculptures come to life, take part in fun on-stage balloon challenges, and enjoy choreographed routines set to upbeat music.
The Art of Inflation is a hands-on, visually stunning experience that complements any library summer reading program or family day. Featuring glowing blacklight effects, a theatrical backdrop, and a professional sound system, this self-contained show transforms library spaces into a high-energy entertainment venue.
“We’re excited to bring this fun and interactive experience to Markham,” says Dale Obrochta, the performer behind The Art of Inflation. “It’s always a joy to see everyone come together, laugh, and get involved. This show creates lasting memories and lots of smiles!”
Following the show, families are encouraged to take photos with the larger-than-life balloon sculptures—some as tall as five feet, which the library can also display for added visual appeal throughout the day.
